Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU night shift position requiring at least two years of ICU and Epic experience.
Responsibilities Position is in the Surgical ICU (SICU) within a hospital setting Adult patient population with diagnoses such as shock, sepsis, pneumonia, ARDS, stroke, and oncology-related conditions Procedures include External Ventricular Drain management, ICP monitoring, mechanical ventilation, massive transfusion protocol, heated high flow, BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy management, CRRT, and vasopressor titration Utilizes the Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience is required 12-hour night shifts (3x12), 19:00–07:30 Cares for critically ill adults with complex medical and surgical conditions Experience with device and procedure management such as EVD, CRRT, and ventilators is necessary Holiday and weekend coverage as assigned may be required Must be able to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-oriented ICU environment
Requirements Active OH or compact state RN license required Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Epic EMR required Oncology experience preferred but not required First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
