Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States Hours: 0-39 hours/week Role Type: Contract Seasonal Ambassadors at Lush are experts in product and brand knowledge, providing exceptional customer consultations and product demonstrations. They cultivate strong team relationships and contribute to shop excellence in sales and operations. On the shop floor, they strive to surpass daily sales goals while creating a fun and inclusive team environment. This role emphasizes making a positive impact, one product at a time. Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Experience:
Drive sales using StoreForce dashboard results, seek feedback, and exceed sales goals. Take ownership of results and contribute to the store’s overall performance. Deliver a world-class customer experience by listening, asking open-ended questions, and demonstrating product benefits. Seek opportunities to enhance the customer’s day and uphold Lush values. Building the Brand:
Educate customers on brand values including fighting animal testing, fresh cosmetics, ethical buying, 100% vegetarian, handmade, and naked packaging. Articulate these values in-store and through community engagement. Product Passion:
Continuously expand product knowledge and stay up-to-date on ingredients and benefits to confidently recommend products. Team Involvement
Development:
Use Lush resources to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and personal growth. Seek feedback and opportunities to elevate skills. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB):
Encourage open communication, listen to team perspectives on DEIB, promote teamwork, and recognize each member’s contributions. Operational Excellence
Time and Attendance:
Be punctual, reliable, and present. Participate in teamwork and stay informed about company updates. Visuals and Merchandising:
Maintain a clean, organized, and appealing store environment to enhance the customer experience. Stock and Inventory:
Use merchandising guidelines to adjust displays based on sales. Policies and Procedures:
Follow opening/closing procedures, product integrity standards, respectful workplace practices, and health and safety guidelines. Qualifications
Required: Excellent customer service skills Flexibility in a fast-paced environment Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred: Experience with consultation-based service Strong problem-solving skills for day-to-day operations Experience working in a team Experience in skincare or cosmetics Experience with DEIB or social justice training Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages The Oaks Pay:
