Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Leader to lead all aspects of the environmental, health, and safety programs across a manufacturing site. Responsibilities
Establish the EHS strategies and execution plans in partnership with the site leadership teams across multiple locations. Monitor current and emerging EHS regulations to understand and proactively respond to changes that potentially impact site operations. Act as the primary contact with EHS regulatory agencies including EPA, OSHA, DOE, and other federal, state, and local bodies. Provide leadership and coaching for the EHS Departments at various sites. Interface closely with site personnel and outside contractors to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental programs. Lead monthly safety meetings with business leaders and site managers. Mentor site safety committee members and participate in monthly safety committee meetings. Conduct safety audits and develop plans with local branch leadership to resolve any discrepancies identified. Partner with external environmental service providers to ensure the site maintains full compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards. Assist or lead accident investigations in partnership with HR/Operations teams. Qualifications
5+ years of progressive EHS leadership in manufacturing with organizational transformation responsibility, impacting the business strategy. Bachelors Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), or related field. Candidates with significant EHS leadership experience in manufacturing will be considered. An EHS Professional certification (i.e., CSP, ASP, CIH, etc.) is a plus! Proven track record in developing and implementing safety systems and technologies that have delivered measurable short-term and long-term improvements in safety performance.
