POSITION SCOPE
The
Dozer Operator
will be responsible for operating a D8/D9 dozer to efficiently and effectively construct embankment and fill areas on a project. This position may include day or night shift work, travel, overtime, and weekend work. PRIMARY DUTIES Safe and efficient operation of D8 and D9 dozers to meet production targets Conduct pre-trip/post-trip walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns Complete production reporting and other documentation as required Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members Safety, Safety, Safety comply with all OSHA and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS 5 years of earth moving experience Valid Driver's License Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy OSHA certification
or
willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification Excellent communication skills The ability to follow and enforce safe work practices Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision Extended out-of-town travel, night shift, and/or weekend work may be required Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
