Job Summary
We are seeking driven and talented recent graduates to join our Talent Development Program (TDP). This 12-month program provides hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of Cemex USA operations. As a Talent Development Professional (TDP), you’ll rotate through various roles within the Aggregates division, gaining insights and developing the skills to thrive in your career at Cemex USA.
Responsibilities
Safety Excellence: You’ll be trained in safety protocols and help ensure safety standards are met or exceeded across all operations.
Rotational Learning: Participate in a structured program covering Mine Planning, Process Improvements, Quality and Reliability, Production, Maintenance, and Data Management. Rotations provide exposure to Cemex’s business lines, including Aggregates, Cement, Ready-Mix/Concrete, and Supply Chain.
Skill Development: Develop technical and soft skills through hands-on work, training, and mentorship; enhance leadership abilities as responsibilities grow.
Networking: Build a network across the company with peers, mentors, and leaders.
Innovation and Improvement: Contribute fresh ideas to drive continuous improvement in our Aggregate operations.
Qualifications
Educational Foundation: A recent bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geology, or related field.
Academic Performance: GPA of 2.5 or above, with preference for 3.0 or higher.
Leadership Potential: Proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Communication Skills: Proficiency in analytical and presentation abilities.
Technical Proficiency: Relevant internship, co-op, or university project experience in the industry.
Flexibility: Willingness to relocate within the U.S. if needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Relevant competencies include safety consciousness, project-based learning, data interpretation, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple rotations effectively.
Working Conditions
Work Schedule: Full-time, on-site internship with a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday.
Environment: Mix of office work and fieldwork with varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
