Overview
West Monroe is seeking a Senior Integration Architect to join the Technology and Experience (TechEx) practice within the Software Engineering discipline. You will help clients modernize their technology stack by designing customer-facing software, integrating complex platforms, and leveraging actionable data. You will mentor the next generation of leaders and collaborate with clients to strategize, design, and build modern integration platforms, bespoke software products, legacy modernization, and intelligent products using AI and GenAI. You will partner with clients and West Monroe teams on transformational projects, gathering technical requirements, defining platform and integration design, and performing configuration/development of innovative solutions in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Work in a collaborative team setting to analyze existing systems, applications, integrations, and processes to solve client business problems. Lead the development of software solutions across full lifecycle Agile projects requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and rollout. Provide creative input on designs within client expectations and a flexible development approach. Lead strategy, architecture, and delivery planning to define scope and investments for the integrated solution. Design and build resilient, maintainable integrations using leading IPaaS platforms, Azure PaaS technologies, and other integration technologies. Coordinate with business and Program Management Office to identify and manage risks and issues related to delivery. Participate in all aspects of product development, including prototyping, building solutions, user feedback, testing, and applying learnings to future work. Learn new languages, paradigms, patterns, and frameworks to continuously develop technical expertise. Address challenges creatively to deliver high-quality solutions. Collaborate with teams to integrate GenAI capabilities into client solutions using AI tools and frameworks for automation and innovation.
Skills & Requirements Technical Expertise
Proficiency in multiple programming languages across full-stack development; .NET and/or Java, with front-end frameworks such as React and Angular. Experience designing and building solutions on leading integration platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Boomi, MuleSoft, Jitterbit). Strong API design/patterns (real-time, event-driven, batch) and API management/gateway platforms (Azure API Management, Boomi API Gateway, Apigee). Strong understanding of secure integration design (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, etc.). Proven experience with Agile methodology and leading dispersed teams on complex projects. Consultative technical business acumen to support pursuits with revenue targets; ability to present leading practices to clients. Domain expertise in software engineering, modernization, and modern integration capabilities. Experience delivering technical solutions to Fortune 1000 and enterprise clients; experience in on-shore/near-shore/hybrid delivery models. Preferred experience integrating custom software with industry-specific systems (e.g., Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, Healthcare) as described in the original description.
Generative AI Expertise
Experience with Generative AI tools and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, AWS, Azure, LangChain, Vertex AI). Knowledge of AI/ML concepts including NLP, LLMs, and computer vision; familiarity with ethical and responsible AI practices. Interest and experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration is a plus.
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide subject-matter depth in software modernization and modern integration engagements; act as a trusted technical advisor to senior client executives. Lead client-serving teams as the technical lead with accountability for successful delivery; maintain strong client presence. Provide quality assurance and regular updates with stakeholders to ensure measurable value. Develop accelerators addressing industry-specific or capability-specific challenges. Demonstrate urgency and adaptability in fast-paced environments; strong critical thinking, communication, and project management skills. Communicate effectively with teammates and clients; foster inclusion and openness to new ideas.
General Qualifications
Real-world experience at the Senior Architect level (typically 10+ years). Active involvement in business development: assessing opportunities, designing solutions, developing proposals/SOWs, and helping close deals; experience with GTM messaging is a plus. Ability to create work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for potential engagements. Thought leadership contribution to strengthen marketing efforts; active networking and community involvement. Independent and collaborative work capability across diverse projects and industries; willingness to travel for client engagements.
Compensation, Benefits & Notice

Ten weeks of paid parental leave is available upon hire date. Salary ranges vary by location as shown below.
