The Principal System Controls Engineer will be the primary interface with operations to help and lead hands on troubleshooting and formulate/implement solutions via PLC programming and hardware innovation. Lead implementation of programming changes to maintain/increase uptime at the site Participate in best practice sharing and standardization of controls and hardware changes Create and communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) on new process controls implementation and lead training for Ops/Maintenance personnel Oversee and lead vendor management as assigned Keep up with and look for opportunities to implement newest technology development in controls industry Interpret and adhere to industry standards and regulatory codes Support other engineering projects with functional specification development and resource coordination to meet schedule and cost needs Support new plant design by reviewing and recommending appropriate changes to all areas of the functional area; hardware/software, vendor, HMI platform, Data Historian Ensure appropriate procedures, design guidelines and design tools are utilized Work with Operations, support reliability efforts by providing hands on and involved technical support, training, and overall mentorship to the plant operations Demonstrate discipline and rigor around documenting all changes using Pratt & Whitney's standard Management of Change (MOC) process Qualifications you must have: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 8 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations or a related environment or a Master's degree and minimum 5 years' experience in in an engineering, manufacturing operations, or related environment SCADA and Data redundancy development Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix and MicroLogix PLC Proficiency with Microsoft Office products U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Qualifications we prefer: Rockwell Automation Products FactoryTalk View Machine Edition AutoCAD, Electrical AutoCAD PanelView Plus HMI Sensors and Power Distribution Products Networks, DeviceNet and EtherNet Sensors, Camera's and Barcode Readers Cognex Visual Studio, SQL and Ignition or Illuminate experience a plus Connected Factory Fanuc/ABB robotics Software development This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
