Equipment Engineer
Key job responsibilities Develop system requirements, and partner with development groups to drive detail design of new equipment Participate in sourcing plans for complex equipment (COTS & custom) Lead equipment integration & site acceptance testing Develop troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and spares plans for equipment Support 2nd line escalation of critical equipment downtime Specify & develop facilities interface requirements (power, network, space, LN2/GN2, PCW) Train & support equipment technicians responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshoot, etc. Normal day 50% of your time will be spent on the shop floor, working with equipment & production teams to execute new equipment integration, existing equipment troubleshoot and preventative maintenance, etc. 25% of time will be spent performing independent development work such as creating new PM schedules, troubleshoot/service procedures, analysis of equipment uptime/OEE trends, etc. 25% of time will be spent in meeting settings, collaborating with others on topics such as new design introductions, production process change management, production solution finding reviews, etc. Required Skills: Experience with Space Flight Hardware Manufacturing Experience with Mechatronic/Electro-Mechanical systems design & integration Familiarity with Low-Rate Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC, etc. Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) & Data Acquisition (DAQ) Systems Experience reading Rack Elevation Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, GD&T Preferred Skills: Experience with Python, LabVIEW Experience with NX Unigraphics of similar CAD software Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $79.48/hr.
