As a Project Engineer you will work with a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and design drafters who support the development of Switchgears, Motor Control Centers and Electrical Equipment Centers. It involves collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and other functional teams to fully support the business team culture and goals.
Requirements
Responsible for the production of complete engineering design packages for the manufacture of Electrical Equipment Centers (EEC) encompassing the following: Mechanical Assembly, Architectural / Structural, Electrical Assembly, Grounding, LV Power Distribution, Lighting, HVAC, Fire Alarm, Telecommunications, Raceway Systems, Installation of Major Power Distribution Equipment (MV/LV SWGR & MCC), Installation of Customer Free Issued Equipment. Performing Design Load Calculations. Creating Interconnection Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Cable Schedules. Serve as the primary technical focal point throughout the project life cycle. Responsible for producing a comprehensive engineering design package for construction / manufacturing. Responsible for project set-up to ensure documentation, engineering and quality standards are followed. Maintain awareness of contracted scope of supply, allocated budget and critical schedule milestones. Responsible for development of technical bill of materials and coordination with Procurement department to support purchasing process. Responsible for driving the required coordination efforts with customers, other engineering disciplines, vendors and internal colleagues to ensure the design of a fully functional system. Lead the team of assigned designers and drafters to ensure all engineering data inputs are provided to support efficient labor use. Oversee the progress of all design deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable codes, customer requirements and internal standards. Coordinate with document control department to support the transmittal process for all applicable project submittal. Create the project specific test plan based on contract requirements. Coordinate with quality and testing teams to support the execution of the approved test plans. Perform assigned testing task from the approved ITP/FAT plan. Drive punch list resolution process. Ensure all required testing documentation is completed and signed per the project contract requirement. Required Skills

5+ years of Project Engineer experience, preferably within Industrial Manufacturing Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university Professional Engineer (PE) preferred General knowledge of ANSI, NEMA and IEC standards. Physical Requirements
