The Senior Manager Engineering is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing engineering to meet company objectives for design, new product development and improvement of existing product lines by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Responsibilities
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that align with organizational objectives. Establish direction for engineering research and development proposals, including objectives, applications, costs, and resource requirements. Oversee key projects, processes, and performance metrics, including documentation systems and data analysis. Lead engineering design reviews to ensure solutions meet business, customer, and certification requirements. Select appropriate design concepts and core technologies for new products and improvements to existing ones. Manage project performance to ensure adherence to budget, quality standards, and schedule. Implement and maintain KPIs to track engineering effectiveness. Coordinate with manufacturing, operations, and quality teams to drive process improvements and product development. Review operations and planning activities to support sales initiatives and identify new market opportunities. Review and analyze proposals to determine benefits and justify expenditures. Develop methods and procedures for monitoring project progress, including tracking expenditures and reporting findings. Ensure timely release of engineering drawings to support production operations. Maintain team staffing by recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and developing engineering talent. Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Protect the confidentiality of the companys information and products. Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related field Experience
Minimum of 8 years of direct engineering experience Skills
Project management, problem solving/analysis, technical capacity, communication proficiency, leadership, financial management Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience in high-paced environments with change and ambiguity; ability to provide direction and pivot as needed. Entrepreneurial and engaging leadership, forward-thinking, growth mindset. Extended or irregular hours may be required. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Elevate Aircraft Seating is an at-will employer; employment is at mutual consent and may be terminated at any time for any reason with or without cause. Employees are expected to adapt to changing operating requirements as needed. Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at a division. Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $140,000 - $167,000 annually. The base pay offered will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience, and internal equity. Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits.
