The Grants Manager is the highest-level position in the grants management series and is responsible for overseeing the grant-making processes across a department or agency. This includes supervising the grant application process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations, and managing the disbursement and use of grant funds. The Grants Manager serves as the primary liaison for funding agencies, external stakeholders, and grant recipients and ensures that grant projects meet programmatic goals, timelines, and financial reporting requirements. Primary Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all aspects of grant management, including the identification of funding opportunities, grant applications, budget management, and reporting. Supervise a team of grant professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and training to ensure successful grant program outcomes. Establish and implement policies and procedures for the effective management of grants. Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, and agency regulations and grant conditions. Review and approve grant budgets, proposals, and reports. Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, funding agencies, and grant recipients. Coordinate the preparation of performance reports and ensure that financial documentation is accurate and timely. Monitor the progress of active grants to ensure alignment with objectives and compliance. Coordinate the preparation of budgets, audits, and required reporting to meet programmatic goals. Provide guidance and oversight to ensure grant projects meet programmatic goals, timelines, and financial reporting requirements. Mentor and develop grant staff; manage progress and performance plans as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Advanced knowledge of grant management processes, compliance regulations, and funding opportunities. Expertise in budget management, financial reporting, and cost allocation. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop grant staff. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills for assessing the effectiveness of grant programs. Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum Qualifications

A bachelors degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field preferred. Five years of experience in grants management or related with at least two years in a supervisory or expert capacity. Mandatory Qualifications

Three (3) years supervisory experience, including employee evaluations. Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent time and project management skills. Experience in developing and monitoring grant programs and projects, and knowledge of grant and budget transactions.
