Suhru & Lieb Vineyards is a quiet, relaxed North Fork winery focused on high-touch wine experiences. Our intimate tasting room offers table service, small-group tastings, food & wine pairings, and a strong focus on wine education. Set on a certified sustainable vineyard in a beautiful agricultural setting, we are an established winery under recent new ownership, looking to grow and expand our guest experiences. Position Overview

We are seeking a professional, articulate, and strong leader to join our team as Tasting Room Manager. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-touch hospitality environment, has strong wine knowledge, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is a self-starter, highly organized, and comfortable leading a small team with warmth and authority. Responsibilities Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Tasting Room Educators to ensure consistently outstanding guest experiences. Lead, mentor, and inspire the team to deliver professional, personalized table-service wine experiences. Manage all aspects of daily tasting room operations, including staff scheduling, guest services, ordering, inventory, etc. Coordinate and execute hospitality events, including VIP & Private Tastings and Wine Club events. Drive sales through tastings, wine club memberships, private experiences, and special events. Ensure a relaxed, educational, and intimate tasting environment, with an emphasis on food & wine pairings and wine education. Build and maintain relationships with guests to encourage loyalty and repeat visits. Maintain in-depth knowledge of our wines, vineyard practices, and the broader wine industry. Oversee operational standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and cleanliness.

Qualifications

35 years of management experience in hospitality, restaurant, or winery operations. Proven track record in sales, revenue management, and team leadership. Professional, articulate, and able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Self-starter who can work independently in a small, intimate team environment. Working knowledge of wine, tasting room operations, and the wine industry (WSET or similar certifications a plus). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
