Under the direction of the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Analyst job is responsible for optimizing shipping processes in order to reduce costs and improve efficiency within supply chain. The ideal candidate will analyze freight data, update carriers, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery solutions. This role often involves collaborating with logistics teams, carriers, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and implement improvements. Qualifications & Experience A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of Logistics or Supply Chain experience in a food manufacturing setting preferred. Familiar with cold chain management, GPS Software, proficient with Microsoft Excel, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Communication

Responsibilities

Ability to summarize/validate costing data from multiple sources. Analyze records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory transactions. Manage incoming orders, route shipments, tracking, and ensure on time delivery. Maintain and make corrective actions to enhance company performance on inbound and outbound freight as well as maintain current tractor and trailer inventories at each location. Oversee order fulfillment processes, evaluate carrier performance, and make recommendations to improve process. Collaborate with freight carriers to arrange transportation and optimize shipping routes. Update outbound and inbound freight rates monthly ensuring pricing is correct. Collaborate with current carriers using scorecard performance with monthly meetings. Follow up with drivers on TMS compliance and assist with any system issues drivers may have. Other duties as assigned by Manager.

While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, walk up and down stairs, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
