Category Analyst
at a glance: The Category Analyst will leverage 84.51 Stratum & Market 6, Circana, Numerator, PowerBI, and other tools to develop and provide routine reporting and in-depth analytics for the advising team. The goal is to discover trends in purchase frequency, buy rate, shopper demographics, cross-shop, penetration, and category leakage within POS and shopper data to develop business-growing recommendations. The Category Analyst will pull data from multiple sources, manipulate large data sets in MS Excel, and build presentations in MS PowerPoint. The ideal Category Analyst is intellectually curious, skilled in heavy technical data management, excels at consumer insights and storytelling, and possesses strong time and project management skills. Knowledge of Kraft Heinz categories, Kroger shoppers, insight development, efficient assortment recommendations, and optimal shelf placement is desired. The Category Analyst will support Krogers reset process, providing best-in-class planogram recommendations. This role will support assortment analysis, white space discovery, and SKU optimization recommendations for the team and customer in preparation for the reset process. Responsibilities
Support a best-in-class reset process for Kroger. Aggregate and train on best practices developed across the category leadership team. Draw key insights and business recommendations on distribution, assortment, pricing, and promotion by analyzing customer and syndicated data. Develop and integrate consumer, shopper, and retailer insights to inform targeted strategies, plans, and decisions. Integrate data to develop impactful customer-specific selling stories in support of category business-driving priorities. Implement Kraft Heinz shelving principles and standards. Qualifications
Applicable experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry (food or beverage preferred). Experience with space management software (JDA preferred). Experience with retail POS, syndicated, and panel data (e.g., 84.51 Stratum, Market6, Circana, Numerator, PowerBI) for in-depth analytics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to comprehend and communicate space management concepts within category management. Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Work Environment & Schedule
This position is in a normal office environment with no anticipated travel to customer locations, stores, or manufacturing facilities. The role is a salaried, exempt position to meet customer and internal expectations. Physical Requirements

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$77,800.00 - $97,300.00 Bonus:
