The Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology at Nassau BOCES is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Arts in Education program. The Program Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Arts in Education program and report directly to the program supervisor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning, management, and delivery of Arts in Education and Exploratory Enrichment programming for students by school districts Coordinating professional development activities Assisting districts with program selection to meet curriculum needs Providing support to districts and vendors Curriculum development in music Assisting districts in creating and implementing musical instrument lease purchases REQUIREMENTS :
New York State Education Department Certification (NYSED): School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) NYSED: School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) is preferred NYSED Certification: Music Three or more years of teaching experience with NYSED Teaching Certification Excellent managerial, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Self-directed, organized and collaborative Experience with instructional technology and applications Extensive knowledge of school band and orchestral instruments Extensive knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts Ability to travel
SALARY:
As per labor contract
