QA Engineer (Contractor)
Role: QA Engineer (Contractor) Duration: 3 months Scope: Will work on one project Key Responsibilities: Analyze and understand current UFT test automation scripts. Design and implement equivalent automated scripts in Playwright. Utilize AI tools (Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot) to assist in code generation, migration, and optimization. Collaborate closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth migration. Maintain and update documentation throughout the migration process. Ensure migrated scripts meet functional and performance requirements. Provide regular progress updates and highlight blockers or dependencies. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in test automation, specifically with UFT and Playwright. Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript. Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools (Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, or similar). Experience migrating legacy automation frameworks to modern solutions. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and rapid development cycles. Proficient with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration. Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in documenting processes and results. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in short-term, high-impact QA migration projects. Experience in cloud-based QA environments. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
