Configuration Manager Plm And Cad Systems
As a Configuration Manager specializing in PLM and CAD administration, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of product data across engineering and manufacturing systems. You'll oversee the structure, accuracy, and change control of Bills of Materials (BOMs), CAD models, and configuration baselines within PLM platforms. Your work ensures seamless collaboration across teams and supports the development of advanced autonomous surface vessels for national defense. Core Responsibilities Administer and maintain PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Teamcenter) to ensure accurate product data, version control, and traceability. Configure and manage Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service BOMs, including 150% BOM structures. Validate changes to Engineering and Manufacturing BOMs as part of formal change implementation processes. Conduct periodic audits of as-built records and reconcile discrepancies within PLM to maintain product definition integrity. Support CAD data management, including model versioning, metadata tagging, and integration with PLM systems. Provide guidance and training to engineering teams on PLM workflows, CAD data handling, and BOM structuring best practices. Drive continuous improvement of PLM and CAD-related workflows, tools, and documentation. Analyze product baselines for compliance with configuration standards and support audit readiness. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure CAD models and PLM data reflect accurate, buildable configurations. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in PLM and CAD administration within aerospace, defense, or naval environments. Proficiency in PLM platforms (Arena, Teamcenter) and CAD tools (Solidworks, NX). Strong understanding of configuration management principles and BOM structuring. Experience with CAD data workflows, version control, and integration with PLM systems. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and training. Engineering degree or CM2 certification is a plus.
