Seeking an experienced Controller to oversee growing development industry accounting operations and team. The Controller will develop and streamline the day-to-day accounting processes, payroll, and financial reporting. The Controller will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve the Company's operational efficiency and aid in their continued growth.
Provide accurate, comprehensive, and timely financial information to senior management Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines Improve company-wide accounting policies and procedures Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies In conjunction with the leadership team, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis Oversee and manage the accounting, finance, and financial reporting function with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust, integrity, and productivity Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of internal and external stakeholders Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures throughout the organization Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Master's Degree in Accounting and/or professional accounting certification, including CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA preferred
8-10 years proven accounting experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility
5 years of experience as a senior-level accounting controller
Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis and progress billings Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting Salary starting at $100,000
