Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking a proactive, compliance-focused HR Generalist to join its growing team in Indianapolis. This hybrid role supports a wide range of HR functions with a strong emphasis on
I-9 and employment eligibility compliance
and
workers compensation claims management . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable to a less-structured environment, and comfortable balancing tactical HR support with compliance-critical responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations. Ensure I-9 accuracy and compliance with all federal employment eligibility requirements; maintain E-Verify integrity. Administer and track workers compensation claims; coordinate with employees, managers, and insurance carriers. Support compliance initiatives and maintain employee records per company policy and legal standards. Assist with leave administration (FMLA, ADA, state leave programs). Partner with managers to resolve workplace issues and promote a positive culture. Provide recruiting coordination support (interviews, candidate communications, offers). Contribute to HR projects that help scale and structure a growing HR function.
Qualifications
24 years of HR Generalist or similar experience. Proven experience with
I-9 compliance and employment eligibility regulations . Experience managing workers comp claims preferred. Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and state/federal employment laws. Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to handle confidential information.
