Institutional Advancement Coordinator
whom is responsible for supporting St. Anthony Catholic School by providing development, marketing and communications services to the principal, primarily by developing programs that would develop relationships with the internal and external community for the benefit of the school, promote the school through communications platforms and social media, and garner financial support through fundraising events and activities. Duties include maintaining good financial records of fundraising efforts and events, securing these funds and delivering them to the school accounting office, recruiting prospective donors, developing and managing internal and external relations and other duties. The Institutional Advancement Coordinator shall perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Responsibilities include:
Seek out opportunities and implementing initiatives to identify, cultivate and solicit prospects to ensure a strong base of philanthropic support for St. Anthony Catholic School. Implement and execute an annual fund to ensure that St. Anthony Catholic School obtains the annual funding it needs to maintain and enhance the annual operations of the school. Responsible for marketing the School to the community through communications platforms, including social media. Promote the School brand/identity and logos. Write succinct and compelling promotional materials designed to encourage giving. Organize and coordinate all school fundraising activities and events. Publish and maintain calendar of fundraising events. Report on post-event outcomes to the principal and school community. Work with Principal to design, implement and coordinate an alumni outreach program and serve as the liaison between the school and the alumni. Create and/or cultivate alumni association for the purpose of brand identification and developing a committed donor pool. Serve as liaison between the school and all relevant fundraising, communications and volunteer committees and councils, including the Home and School Association, as directed. Work with the Principal to establish fund-raising goals and priorities for the school. Responsible for consistent, accurate and appropriate data collection and information-sharing for development efforts including reviewing and maintaining donor and gift information. Maintain the development database and gift processing including production of development reports, pledge billing, and donor follow-up. Ensure prompt and accurate gift acknowledgement, stewardship and donor communications. Develop and maintain positive relationships with current donors and provide stewardship in the donor cultivation process. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and donor records. Plan and coordinate Web-based fundraising initiatives. Provide exemplary customer service to all internal and external constituencies. Regularly evaluate initiatives and results, both in the formative and summative stages and report results to Principal. Build relationships with development personnel at other schools and identify best practices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in either: Non-Profit Management, Business, Public Relations or Marketing or other related field and two years' experience in any of these fields. Modern office procedures and practices, including record keeping and data security methods and techniques. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information. Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and contributors files. Principles and practices of supervision and personnel management. Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain focus on and professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone. Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time. Proficiency with desktop publishing and/or Web editing programs. Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required. Good spelling and grammar are required. Good oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice. Good Spanish-language spoken communication skills strongly preferred. Must be able to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines.
