Position Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced
Administrative Manager
to lead the clerical operations of the shipping and receiving department. This role is essential to ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination between warehouse teams, carriers, and administrative staff. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and team leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership : Supervise, train, and support shipping and receiving clerks to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Documentation Management : Oversee all shipment-related paperwork, including bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and freight records.
Workflow Coordination : Act as the liaison between warehouse floor staff, carriers, and office personnel to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.
System Oversight : Ensure accurate data entry into warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms for inventory and shipping records.
Records Organization : Maintain organized filing systems-both digital and physical-for all shipping and receiving documentation.
Issue Resolution : Monitor daily shipment schedules and assist in resolving discrepancies, delays, or documentation errors.
Staff Scheduling : Assist with scheduling and workload distribution for clerical staff to meet operational demands.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Demonstrated experience managing administrative staff in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving environment.
Strong understanding of shipping documentation, freight procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse/ERP systems.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
