The Clinical Research Coordinator will support childhood obesity prevention research in the Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition Equity at Mass General for Children, including a randomized controlled trial (RCT) that evaluates whether a pediatric intensive health behavioral and lifestyle treatment (IHLBT) intervention reduces BMI and improves asthma outcomes when delivered via telehealth, and a pilot randomized trial studying a physical activity intervention for early adolescent girls and its impact on health outcomes. The coordinator will primarily be responsible for participant recruitment, enrollment, consent, study activity scheduling, and conducting baseline and follow-up surveys in English and Spanish via telephone and email, as well as some in-person visits on site at MGH. They will enter study data into REDCap databases and assist with other study operations, reporting to the Senior Project Manager. Job Summary

Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy and EKGs; maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelors degree have a grace period of six months from their hire date (up to 1 year if starting per diem) to provide degree equivalency verification. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verify all sponsor requirements are met. Recruiting patients for clinical trials, conducts phone interviews. Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol. Prepares data for analysis and data entry. Documents patient visits and procedures. Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC Procedures. Assists with interviewing study subjects. Assists with study regulator submissions.
