Description of Work Lead 50-minute group sessions of yoga Lead beginner-level classes; design and deliver effective, safe, and engaging yoga sessions Promote Mindfulness and Breathing Techniques: Incorporate meditation, breathwork, and relaxation practices into classes to enhance students' overall well-being. Engage and Motivate Students: Foster a welcoming atmosphere by encouraging participation, offering positive reinforcement, and making yoga accessible to all. Uphold Professionalism and Customer Service: Interact with students in a patient, respectful manner and provide guidance tailored to their needs.
Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position
Candidates will be asked to submit a 30-minute yoga class video or perform a live class as part of the interview process before being hired. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
Current CPR/AED certification required Beginner's level teacher training. (Yoga Fit preferred) RYT 200 or higher highly welcomed, not required
Management Preferences
Other types of training and education considered: Kinesiology Degree Progression, enrolled: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior MS in Exercise Science CSCS Certification, Group Exercise Certification, Personal Training Certification Training in biomechanics
Position Recruitment Range $25.00 - $40.00 based on education and experience
