Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Division of Academic Affairs provides leadership in developing and maintaining quality academic programs and support services that contribute to the achievement of the university's mission. Description of Work Lead 50-minute group sessions of yoga Lead beginner-level classes; design and deliver effective, safe, and engaging yoga sessions Promote Mindfulness and Breathing Techniques: Incorporate meditation, breathwork, and relaxation practices into classes to enhance students' overall well-being. Engage and Motivate Students: Foster a welcoming atmosphere by encouraging participation, offering positive reinforcement, and making yoga accessible to all. Uphold Professionalism and Customer Service: Interact with students in a patient, respectful manner and provide guidance tailored to their needs.

Competencies/Knowledge Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position

Candidates will be asked to submit a 30-minute yoga class video or perform a live class as part of the interview process before being hired. Ability to work effectively in a team environment

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

Current CPR/AED certification required Beginner's level teacher training. (Yoga Fit preferred) RYT 200 or higher highly welcomed, not required

Management Preferences

Other types of training and education considered: Kinesiology Degree Progression, enrolled: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior MS in Exercise Science CSCS Certification, Group Exercise Certification, Personal Training Certification Training in biomechanics

Position Recruitment Range $25.00 - $40.00 based on education and experience
