Licensed Childcare Center School-Age Care Aide in

West Seattle at Schmitz Park Elementary School . This is a year-round, part-time position starting immediately.

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role,the

Licensed Childcare Center School-Age Care Aide will share their talents with the community andteach children ages 5-12 years old during the after-school program.

Our programs provide a fun, creative, safe, and welcoming environment for children to learn, play, and grow.

Location:

Alki Community Center atSchmitz Park Elementary School -5000 SW Spokane St, Seattle, WA 98116

Schedule: Part-time, non-exempt, up to 25hr/week position during the school-year; may work summers as well School year hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 2:30pm - 6:00pm; Wednesday1:00pm - 6:00pm Summer hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm Licensed Childcare Center School-Age Care Aide Responsibilities:

Assists the lead teacher with leading daily curriculum activities with a classroom of children ages 5-12years old Models appropriate behavior and provides opportunities for social and emotional growth Ensures a ratio of 1:10(staff to children) is maintained as much as possible to ensure that children are safe and accounted for Reports to the Associated Recreation Council School-age Director Licensed Childcare Center School-Age Care Aide qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older Must have High School Diploma, GED, college transcripts or other secondary education At least one year of experience working with children between the ages of 5-12 years old in a recreation or childcare setting is highly preferred One year experience supporting and following curriculum activities with a large group of children is highly preferred DCYF requirements to be completed after hire to include providing MMR vaccination record, TB skin test, MERIT portable background check and WA state food worker's card etc. Pay:

Starting pay: $22.00 Full Pay Range: $22.00-25.30/hr (Over time, the employee in this role may earn up to $25.30/hr with additional years of service) Benefits:
