Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position, requiring 2 years of ER experience and strong clinical skills. Responsibilities

Work in an Off-Campus Emergency Department (OCED) with 10 beds and up to 10 hallway spaces Serves a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics, including trauma, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psych, and frequent gunshot wounds Patient ratios are typically 1:4, and in fast track 1:6 with a team nursing model RNs are responsible for managing ventilators and BiPAP as there are no RTs on site Expected to float between OCED locations as needed, with primary site assignment subject to change 12-hour night shifts (range of start times depending on unit needs), 36 hours per week Uses Epic for documentation as well as Alaris and Pyxis equipment Weekend rotation is expected, though exact frequency may vary Holiday shift requirements are negotiable RNs provide all aspects of emergency care, including ventilator and BiPAP management, chest tubes, and mixing medications under pharmacy oversight Will be trained to function as a charge nurse if needed Support available from LPNs, charge nurse (partial assignment and break relief), and EST/phlebotomy, though most blood draws are done by RNs or LPNs Extensive orientation provided including hospital and unit-specific training, an 8-hour respiratory class, and hands-on shadowing Personal Protective Equipment including N95s, PAPRs, and goggles is supplied Flexible scrub color policy Free parking provided Medical and religious exemptions for vaccines are accepted Requirements

Active RN license (compact or state-specific) required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC Minimum of 2 full years of true ER experience required Strong IV, medication administration, and central line skills needed Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start First-time travelers will be considered Benefits
