Grant Thornton (US) As the WNTO Global indirect Tax (GIT) Senior Manager, you’ll address, research, and consult on complex GIT technical issues for a variety of clients. You’ll collaborate with the WNTO leaders and staff and work closely with our Tax Solution Families on identifying risk management issues. Your day-to-day Your day-to-day may include:

Reviewing documentation and computations for client projects including voluntary disclosure agreements, nexus studies, taxability matrices, and transaction related analysis

Preparing written tax advice on GIT matters

Tracking new developments from state and local jurisdictions with an emphasis on covering GIT issues, and generating thought leadership and service opportunities with respect to these developments

Working with other specialty groups on issues that intersect with other federal, international, and state and local tax matters

Supporting Firm-wide and external training to enhance the knowledge of Firm professionals and clients in GIT matters

Developing tools that will be utilized by our Firm to provide quality service to our clients

Other duties as assigned

You have the following technical skills and qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

CPA or JD required; LLM in Taxation preferred

At least six years of SALT consulting experience at a major public accounting or law firm, with a preference for candidates with experience at a National Tax Office and/or IRS National office

Demonstrated success in tax technical work

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet preparation and interpretation

Ability to manage and develop staff, in a highly interactive team environment

Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
