Literacy Volunteers of the Montachusett Area (LVMont) is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer to lead a
workshop on teaching English pronunciation
for English tutors. This is a great opportunity to share your expertise with dedicated volunteer tutors and help improve the learning experience for our adult students. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver a 1–2 hour workshop for literacy volunteers on effective strategies for teaching English pronunciation. Provide practical tips, exercises, and activities that volunteers can use in one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions. Facilitate discussion, answer questions, and provide feedback to participants. Share resources and materials that tutors can reference after the workshop. Qualifications: Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL), with a focus on pronunciation, accent reduction, or speech clarity. Comfort presenting to a small group and leading interactive activities. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, supportive approach. Experience working with adult learners preferred. Details: Location: A local library in the Montachusett Area (can accommodate hybrid/online if needed). Time Commitment: 1–2 hours for the workshop, plus optional time for preparation.
