within the Stanford Department of Emergency Medicine and Stanford Health Care. The Division emphasises the Emergency Critical Care (ECC) component within Stanford Health Care, focusing on triage, resuscitation, and early interventions to improve care for critically ill patients across the hospital. The ECC Division Chief contributes input into clinical care and co-leads strategic operational, educational, and scholarly efforts. Responsibilities
Represent the department and its faculty in a multidisciplinary setting, including medical-surgical and intensive care units at Stanford Medicine. Oversee clinical care, operational strategy, educational programs, faculty development, and scholarly activities beyond a single ICU’s clinical care and operations. Foster a collaborative culture across participating departments and engage with other departments as part of the multidisciplinary approach to critical care at Stanford Medicine. Provide leadership in the growth of the ECC academic program to advance patient care, innovation, and mentorship of future leaders. Lead and participate in administrative, academic, and clinical practice management related to critical care medicine. Encourage and support peer‑reviewed research and pursuit of extramural funding; track record in research is of particular interest. Qualifications
Board certification or equivalent in Emergency Medicine; subspecialty training and board certification in Critical Care Medicine. Administrative, academic, and clinical practice management experience in critical care medicine. Commitment to the growth of the ECC academic program and to advancing patient care, innovation, and mentoring of future leaders. Ability to lead in a multidisciplinary setting and collaborate with other departments. Academic rank and line determined by qualifications and experience; professional track record in clinical care, teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service. Additional Information
