The 3rd Party Manufacturing team is responsible for the sourcing of Manufacturing Services in North America, ranging from small assemblies to complete vehicles. This team leads strategic activities globally, managing sourcing activities as well as project management of production. We consist of a cross-functional team throughout Volvo Trucks that manages manufacturing operations on a daily basis. You will be based out of Greensboro, NC and will report to the Head of Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics and 3rd Party Manufacturing Purchasing North America. Main areas of responsibility: Manage supplier sourcing activities from project phase to operations, ensuring that supplier selection is in line with expectations (quality, cost, sustainability, etc.) Manage and drive RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for new projects Develop sourcing plans for services with cross-functional time plans Monitor supplier manufacturing plan, and identify and mitigate any risks Ensure that the supplier and its labor force is prepared for production Manage all project-related supplier relations (meetings, documents, feedback) Contribute as a member or leader in cross-functional teams Negotiate with suppliers and look for cost reductions Work with manufacturing facilities to determine best practices Analyze labor markets as well as manufacturing processes Analyze supplier proposals and bids with an emphasis on assembly line layout, elements of standard work processes, and required labor content What We Are Looking For

For this position, the base pay is set at $72,600 - $89,700 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
