Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a Texas OT license for a weekday hospital assignment. Responsibilities
Work in an inpatient acute care setting Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional overtime after 5:00pm Occasional weekend coverage may be required 13-week contract duration Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation, program planning, and administration of treatment for all patients Performs detailed clinical assessments upon physician referral and develops age-appropriate plans of care Accurately documents all patient treatment and responds effectively to new and changing work assignments Works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality occupational therapy services Must submit all required certifications and documentation for consideration Requirements
Current, active Texas Occupational Therapist license (no pending licenses accepted; license required if applicable) Bachelor's degree from an A.O.T.A.-accredited Occupational Therapy program required; Master's degree highly desired Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a U.S. hospital acute care setting Current BLS certification from AHA required Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are required CPI certification is mandated by the position Must provide two manager or supervisor references, with at least one from the most recent employer U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration Applicants must live more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted Benefits
