We are a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL, supporting the Missile Defense Agency.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Cyber Security Specialist, you will perform duties with minimal supervision and contribute to mission-critical cybersecurity efforts.
Brief status reports to the Leadership Team.
Prepare detailed reports for presentation to stakeholders.
Understand and manage the technologies of the assigned systems.
Qualifications
15+ years of Information Technology/Cybersecurity experience with a minimum of 5 years in the DoD and a minimum of 5 years of System Administration and configuration experience in the enterprise with one or more of the following technologies:
Windows 7 – 10 including DoD Secure Host Baseline
Cisco switches and routers
Boundary defenses
Active DoD SECRET level Security Clearance (or have held one in the past 2 years)
Strong skills in Tenable’s Nessus/Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS):
Vulnerability Analysis
Managing scan data in Security Center
Providing reports to system owners, program managers, and ISSMs to track vulnerability metrics
Uploading scan data to enterprise Mission Assurance Service (eMASS) to populate the asset management component
Ports, Protocols, and Services (PP&S)
LAN/WAN design and security
Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity and RMF policy and procedures (DoD 8500, DoD 8510, NIST SP 800-37, and NIST SP 800-53)
Knowledge of RMF implementation guidance and applying technical expertise to continuous monitoring controls
Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences and explain complex situations to all levels of leadership, including SES/General Officers
