Construction & Installation Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician Dallas, TX | Full-Time | $28/hour | Contract
About the Role We are seeking a Construction & Installation Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician to join our team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will be the on-site quality lead, ensuring that all
construction, mechanical, electrical, and equipment installations
are executed according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. You’ll work directly with contractors, site managers, and project engineers, serving as the primary QA/QC contact to confirm that every stage of
installation and ongoing operations
meets the highest levels of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
Review blueprints, shop drawings, and installation plans to confirm accuracy and compliance with QA/QC standards.
Inspect construction and
installation work
(structural, mechanical, and electrical) to ensure quality workmanship.
Act as the primary QA/QC point of contact and coordinate all quality-related activities during installations.
Conduct field inspections, punch-list walkdowns, site audits, and quality assessments during project execution.
Document results through QA/QC checklists, inspection reports, corrective actions, and EHS Insight Database records.
Verify correct use of tools, torque values, and
installation methods
against engineering drawings.
Monitor contractor performance for quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
Support cost, quality, and
installation improvement initiatives
using Lean tools and root cause analysis.
Provide training and guidance to crews on blueprint interpretation and QA/QC procedures.
Collaborate with site managers, installation leadership, and customers to define expectations and close quality gaps.
Assist with corrective actions, auditing, and metric reporting to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical training in Construction, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years’ QA/QC experience in
construction or installation
projects.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of Lean concepts, continuous improvement methods, and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with construction contractors, job-site practices, and installation workflows.
Ability to use standard inspection tools (e.g., torque wrenches, gauges, hand tools).
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Compensation
$28/hour
Overtime required
Physical Demands
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform hands-on inspections.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in active construction zones, mechanical areas, and cleanrooms.
Work Environment
Exposure to moving equipment, electrical systems, construction materials, chemicals, and moderate noise.
Strict adherence to site safety rules and PPE requirements.
