Field Engineer - Electrical & Mechanical Construction/Installation

We are seeking a Field Engineer to support the inspection of electrical and mechanical construction and installation projects. The Field Engineer will be responsible for ensuring work is completed in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. This role involves conducting site inspections, documenting progress, and working closely with project managers, contractors, and clients.
Primary Responsibilities
Inspect electrical and mechanical construction and installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and safety standards. Review technical documents, including blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals, to ensure proper execution in the field. Monitor contractors and subcontractors during installation to identify deficiencies, potential issues, and corrective actions. Document inspections, prepare field reports, and maintain accurate records of project progress and compliance. Support commissioning and testing activities, verifying proper functionality of installed systems. Assist with troubleshooting and provide technical guidance as needed. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve field issues. Enforce safety policies and practices on-site. Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). 3+ years of experience in construction, installation, or field engineering (electrical and/or mechanical systems). Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical construction standards, codes, and best practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience with field inspections, quality control, and compliance documentation. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel to job sites as required. Primarily field-based role with regular exposure to construction environments. May require travel between multiple project sites. Must comply with all site-specific safety requirements, including use of PPE.
