We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Billing Systems team. The successful candidate will work on developing mission-critical systems with direct financial impact, including technical modernization, complex billing logic, financial calculations, and enterprise-scale data processing. Responsibilities

Engage with product architects, project managers, and business leaders to translate requirements and product vision into scalable architectural designs and maintainable software solutions. Develop mission-critical billing applications, APIs, transaction processing, scheduled billing operations, and integration with other core business systems. Enhance existing MetTel Billing applications and APIs infrastructure and migrate to .NET Core and/or other modern technology stacks. Develop comprehensive unit test suites and collaborate with QA and Data Analytics teams to establish monitoring, observability, and validation frameworks for real-time billing operation performance, revenue assurance validation, and verification of business logic accuracy. Architect and build data pipelines that consolidate billing data for analytics, regulatory reporting, and real-time business intelligence. Qualifications

3+ years of experience architecting, designing, and developing scalable software applications. Proficiency with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and C#. Experience with at least one other general-purpose programming language; Python is preferred. Strong expertise in relational databases (preferably SQL Server) with advanced SQL skills including complex joins, stored procedures, and performance optimization. Experience implementing REST APIs, API authentication, and system-to-system integrations. Understanding of transaction management, database connection pooling, and concurrency control in high-volume applications. Familiarity with background job processing, scheduled tasks, and batch processing frameworks. Additional Qualifications

Past experience with financial/billing systems is a plus. Experience with rules engines, configuration management, and dynamic business logic implementation. Experience with container-based development and deployment environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Experience with workflow/ETL orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow, Netflix Conductor) is a plus. Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures. Experience with Outsystems platform is a plus. The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The U.S. pay for this position is up to $100,000-175,000 annually. Pay varies by location and may depend on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities.
