What Youll Do
Design and implement QoS policies (CBWFQ, LLQ, NBAR, WRED, Auto-QoS).
Monitor and optimize network traffic for performance and reliability.
Configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls (Nexus 1000v, ASA 1000v, CSR 1000v).
Support managed services using ServiceNow and ScienceLogic.
Collaborate with cloud teams (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure QoS in hybrid environments.
Automate provisioning and monitoring with Python, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus.
Conduct IOS upgrades and validate QoS configurations.
Document network designs and troubleshooting procedures.
What You Bring Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years in network engineering with a focus on QoS. Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking (VLANs, EtherChannel, OSPF, BGP, MPLS). Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms and SD-WAN (Viptela, DMVPN). Familiarity with cloud networking and automation tools. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Bonus Points For CCNA or higher certification. Experience in large data center environments. ITIL Foundations Certification. Knowledge of Wireshark, NetFlow, Splunk. Experience optimizing voice/video QoS over Wi-Fi.
