The Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer Operations at RTX Corporation will be responsible for participating in all test and validation activities for advanced systems and components. This role includes providing technical input in systems engineering (software/electrical/mechanical), ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, and supporting operation needs as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project management, and leadership. What You Will Do Execute on the test validation processes for complex systems and components to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards. Be involved with software/firmware engineering, hardware engineering, cross domain solutions, and cyber-security compliance. Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate system functionality and performance. Work on program sustainment and modernization efforts spanning the product lifecycle, including customer engagement, software/hardware integration, system test & validation as well as deployment & failure investigations. Work closely with the program team engaging engineers from systems, software, cybersecurity, and infrastructure to ensure the product delivery to the customer and end users is done with minimal impact to the operational execution. Communicate issues, status updates, and progress both internally and externally, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders. Perform integration, test, and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of product within both factory and operational platforms. Adhere to accepted standards and processes for development, including participating in peer reviews, maintaining test environments & coverage, providing feedback for product improvements as well as working to ensure consistency in quality and performance. Receive guidance and direction from the Lead Systems and Software Engineers to ensure the overall system execution is reliable, maintainable, and deployable while always meeting operational performance. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience. Working knowledge of project engineering. Failure analysis experience. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with configuring, integrating, troubleshooting applications. Experience with Atlassian/Jira toolset for task management. Experience with Test Driven Development. Desire to work and thrive in a team environment and willingness to learn and expand experiences.
