Job SummaryThe International Logistics and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing the shipment of products and equipment to international warehouses, ensuring compliance with global shipping regulations, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role involves coordinating with international freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping companies to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Additionally, the position handles the billing process for international shipments, supports inventory management efforts, and assists with administrative supply chain tasks including customer and global sales support Duties and Responsibilities:
Product/Equipment Shipping:
Obtain and manage freight quote needs for both LTL and container shipments, for all international orders.
Coordinate and manage the shipping of products/equipment to international warehouses.
Ensure all shipments are compliant with international shipping regulations and standards.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Address any issues or delays in shipping and work to resolve them promptly.
International Shipments:
Communicate with international shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth transportation.
Ensure accurate and complete record-keeping of all shipments.
Billing:
Handle the billing process for international shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing.
Oversee the credit process and ensure international distributors receive timely updates on credit memos.
Coordinate with the finance department to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
Maintain accurate billing records and prepare reports as needed.
Inventory Management Support:
Help maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
Assist in managing stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Support the implementation of inventory control procedures.
Coordinate the biannual inventory count process for the Company’s international warehouse locations.
Problem-Solving:
Identify and address operational issues that arise within the supply chain.
Propose and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Assist in developing contingency plans to manage potential disruptions.
Identify and report up to management, any international orders that deviate from typical ordering patterns or historical purchase trends.
Administrative Support:
Assist in managing supply chain-related administrative tasks, such as processing purchase orders and invoices.
Support the Supply Chain Manager in planning and executing supply chain strategies.
Collaborate closely with the global sales team to provide support on order-related inquiries and requirements.
Respond to new customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate internal contacts.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in international logistics or a related role.
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing records and documentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
