Leasing Consultant Salary:

Responsibilities
Coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals, and interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and resident retention and client satisfaction. Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect; provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents. Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork and processes. Ensure model apartments are in touring condition and orient prospective and current residents to the property. Process renewal paperwork and ensure documentation is delivered to current residents monthly. Maintain accurate and detailed records of traffic activity and follow up with all prospective residents via phone, mail or email. Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments for tours; inspect apartments prior to move-ins and coordinate move-in/out with maintenance. Create and maintain confidential resident files, review move-in paperwork with new residents, and complete weekly leasing reports. Ensure all open and close procedures are completed daily; assist with ongoing resident relations and respond to requests promptly. Research competitive properties; inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness and alert maintenance to repairs as needed. Assist with processing work order requests and provide clerical support as needed; may assist with resident activities to increase retention. Comply with all company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
High school diploma is required. Minimum of one year of previous sales experience is preferred. One year of previous residential leasing experience is preferred.
Skills And Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others. Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred. Basic level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management. Sensitivity to confidential matters; ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English; ability to use standard office equipment. Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle difficult situations calmly. Must maintain a valid drivers license and current auto insurance; driving record must be clean. Must comply with safety requirements and complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
