Overview
Our client is seeking an
HR Operations Specialist
to support the day-to-day operations of a global HR function and deliver an excellent employee experience. This role will be the first point of contact for employees on HR-related inquiries and will partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure smooth execution of core HR processes. From onboarding and benefits administration to employee data management and offboarding, this position plays a key role in keeping HR operations running seamlessly. Compensation
Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr This range is provided by North Bridge Staffing Group. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more. Location
Chicago, IL Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate guidance on benefits, leaves of absence, employment verifications, and HR policies. Assist with onboarding and orientation to create a positive experience for new hires and managers. Support HR lifecycle activities such as promotions, job changes, mobility, and terminations. Manage administration of health and welfare benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, invoicing, and compliance reporting. Coordinate and track leave of absence processes, ensuring compliance and consistency. Process and maintain accurate employee data in HR systems while ensuring data integrity across platforms. Partner with COEs in Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition on cross-functional HR initiatives. Provide administrative support for HR processes including documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting. Oversee offboarding logistics such as system access removal, exit documentation, and coordination of final pay. Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc HR projects to enhance efficiency and consistency. Qualifications
2+ years of HR operations, HR administration, or generalist experience. Advanced MS Excel skills required. Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and core processes. Excellent communication skills with a customer-service mindset. Experience working with HR systems (Workday or similar) and ability to quickly learn new platforms. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Experience with benefits and leave of absence administration. Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion. Prior experience supporting employees across multiple locations and business units.
