Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MA license and recent acute care and telemetry experience.
Responsibilities Position in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases Night shifts are 12 hours in length, with a 36-hour work week Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required Float to different units as needed and must adapt quickly Responsible for all aspects of med/surg telemetry nursing, including IV starts and phlebotomy as needed Team environment with expectation to float and support different units as required First-time travelers will be considered Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Parking is available for a fee
Requirements Active MA RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience, including IVs, telemetry, and phlebotomy Experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting Must be able to pass a telemetry test on day 1 with a score of 85% or better Completion of the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test required; can only be taken twice At least 18 months of experience in the submitted specialty Two professional references on file, one from a manager with performance evaluation, one within the past 12 months, and none from other travelers Epic EMR experience preferred Preceptor experience preferred
