Responsibilities Coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. Interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. Focus on the needs of others by listening, understanding, and showing empathy and respect. Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents; generate and handle traffic, qualify prospects, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork. Ensure model apartments are in touring condition and orient residents to the property. Process renewal paperwork and ensure documentation is delivered to current residents monthly. Maintain accurate records of traffic activity and follow up with all prospects via phone, mail or email. Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments to tour the property. Inspect apartments prior to move-ins and coordinate move-in/out needs with the maintenance team. Create and maintain confidential resident files and review move-in paperwork with new residents. Complete weekly leasing reports and ensure open/close procedures are performed daily. Assist with ongoing resident relations and respond to requests promptly and accurately. Research competitive properties and assist with planning resident activities to increase retention. Comply with company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
High school diploma is required. Minimum of one year of previous sales experience is preferred. One year of previous residential leasing experience is preferred.
Skills And Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Must maintain a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance. Must comply with safety requirements and complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
