An opportunity exists for a seasoned HR professional to take on a comprehensive generalist role supporting a facility services workforce of over 150 employees. This position involves managing diverse HR functions in a fast-paced environment, including recruitment, employee relations, workforce development, payroll, and compliance. The ideal candidate will excel at building productive relationships at all organizational levels, thrive in a dynamic setting with shifting priorities, and be motivated to contribute to organizational goals while fostering positive community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through development and retention.
Ensure accuracy of payroll, personnel records, and HRIS data.
Support labor relations through grievance tracking, research, and negotiations assistance.
Coordinate training initiatives, compliance activities, and workforce development programs.
Represent the organization at career fairs and community outreach events to strengthen employer branding.
Advise employees and leaders on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Prepare reports, analyze HR data, and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years in an HR generalist or related role, with union environment experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with employees, leaders, and labor representatives. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; Google Workspace experience is a plus. Skilled at multitasking, problem-solving, and working independently in a fast-paced setting.
