Brief Summary Of Job Duties
Under the general supervision of the Department Administrator, the Program Coordinator provides support to the Department of Education faculty and students. Responsibilities include student recruitment, application processing, prospective applicant and enrolled student advising; coordination of annual graduate program events; and updating advising materials. Uses aptitude for database use to compile reports and disseminate student data. Provides departmental administrative support, assists with fellowship applications and the review process, and collaborates with department and GGSE staff as needed. Job Functions And Percentages Of Time 50% DEPARTMENT ASSISTANCE COURSE COORDINATION SUPPORT: Coordination and distribution of quarterly course evaluations; process textbook orders and provide classroom copies; collect syllabi; manage add codes; maintain EDUC Graduate Program Resources on Canvas. FELLOWSHIPS: Manage fellowship policies, timelines, applications, nominations, awards, documentation; track funding data; report outcomes to GGSE stakeholders. DEPARTMENTAL ASSISTANCE: Mail/packages, update department webpages, support events, take minutes, post notices, manage desk manual, respond to department email/phone. FACULTY AND STUDENT SUPPORT: Assist with student advising, annual handbook updates, liaison with School and central offices, support for visiting students/shcolars as needed. EVENT PLANNING: Plan annual graduate program events; coordinate logistics per campus policies. ACADEMIC PERSONNEL: Support hiring processes and coordination of visits/travel for academic personnel as needed. 30% FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Travel and expense processing, use Connexxus, ensure compliance, manage expenditures, generate reports, and handle reimbursements and purchasing. 20% APPLICATIONS AND ADMISSIONS ADMISSIONS PROCESS SUPPORT: Respond to inquiries, coordinate recruitment and admissions processing; manage ~100 electronic files for review by faculty. RECRUITMENT COORDINATION: Schedule interviews, coordinate Recruitment Day, manage applicant communications and travel reimbursements. Policies And Compliance
