British American Household Staffing, New York, New York, us, 10261
Overview
A lovely family in TriBeCa is seeking a full-time live-out French-speaking nanny for their 2 young sons who are 2-years-old and 9-months-old. The 2-year-old is in school Monday through Friday 1pm-4pm. The schedule will generally be 45 hours a week Monday through Friday 9am-5/6pm, but they would desire flexibility for some occasional evening coverage, weekends, or for travel. A native French speaker from France is a strong preference or a French-speaker who has spent considerable time in France. The role ideally begins October/November. They are seeking a longterm fit.
Responsibilities
Speaking French to the children
Engaging with and being activities-driven with the children
Pick ups/drop offs (school and activities, all within a walking distance)
Facilitating the children's playtime including socialization with their peers and playdates
Taking the children to classes, museums, and parks
Children's laundry
Preparing the children's food of healthy and balanced meals
Children's belongings and rooms' organization/re-stocking inventory (I.E., diapers)
Cleaning up as it relates to the children and keeping a tidy home; the family has a housekeeping service, so no housekeeping is required for this role, but a candidate who values cleanliness and cleaning up after themselves and children is needed. Taking the trash out or running the dishwasher when there is downtime (when baby is down for nap) is desired–a proactive and teamwork-minded nanny is sought out for this role
There will be traveling throughout the year on occasion
Requirements
The candidate to hire must be nurturing, kind, respectful, and conscientious
The personality of the candidate to hire must be calm, yet outgoing in the sense of keeping up with these young boys
There won’t be a lot of travel, but occasional domestic/international travel will be needed (therefore must be a Green Card or US Passport holder)
Cleanliness is really important to the parents; hygiene, organization and cleanliness; they keep a tidy home and they have a weekly housekeeping service who does a deep clean, but the nanny must be someone who is respectful of their space and cleans up after themselves
Salary and Benefits
The hourly compensation for this role is $40/hour plus overtime
Healthcare stipend will be offered, and the monthly amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis
Approximately 5 weeks per year of travel where they won’t need help (some of those weeks around major holidays) and the nanny will be paid during those times and have it off
2 weeks' paid time off (sick/personal/vacation all rolled into those 2 weeks)
All major federal holidays off
