Joining the Customer Success team will provide you with the support and growth you need to strengthen and evolve your skills within the consulting field. As an Appian Associate Consultant, you’ll build and deploy web-based applications using the Appian platform to support our customers’ business needs. You’ll become an expert on our software—from implementing the first business process management application to scaling a program across the enterprise—and bring our process automation platform to life for our clients. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full project life cycle, learning how to define requirements, launch new data models, build APIs and integrations, and collaborate directly with business users and technical teams. This role offers the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop the skills to become a trusted advisor who drives lasting digital transformation for our customers. This role is based at our HQ in McLean, VA. In-person collaboration is a key part of our culture, and employees are expected to be in the office 4–5 days per week to foster collaboration and maximize opportunities to connect with Appian’s people and projects. While working in-person with customers is our main priority, the office environment also supports celebrations, collaboration, and relationship-building across teams.
Responsibilities
Build and deploy web-based applications using the Appian platform to support customer business needs.
Define requirements, design data models, and develop integrations and APIs.
Collaborate with business users and technical teams across the full project life cycle.
Learn, grow, and develop skills to become a trusted advisor driving digital transformation for customers.
To be successful in this role you need
Ability to leverage experience in process improvement disciplines including business process management, knowledge management, personalization, BI, and application integration.
Experience constructing, implementing, and deploying process-centric BPM solutions on the Appian platform.
Ability to analyze a client’s business strategy and processes and develop technical solutions to support them.
Desire to use a design thinking approach for prototyping and modeling business processes.
Solid foundation of, or passion for, technology.
Basic Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Math, or equivalent background.
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.) and cloud technologies preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel; 20% requirement to support customer engagement.
