Overview

Safran Electronics & Defense Cockpit Controls in North America designs and manufactures flight deck control panels, integrated switch panels and light plates. The IDD Aerospace brand is the world leader in high-volume, high-mix lighted panels, with customers including major OEMs. IDD Aerospace operates two locations: Redmond, WA and Chihuahua, Mexico. The President & CEO is responsible for the overall performance and operational efficiency of the IDD Aerospace business, including financial and operational performance as well as customer satisfaction and adherence to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

Lead the business including sales, finance, production, quality, engineering, maintenance, human resources, IT and supply chain through direct reports and collaboration with shared services in a matrixed organization. Develop and implement strategic plans to profitably grow the business. Drive daily performance metrics including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. Improve operational efficiency and profitability through strategic initiatives. Ensure all products meet internal and external quality and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, FAA, EASA, AS9100). Achieve industrial and financial KPIs and lead regular reviews with department heads to align with business goals and execute actions. Manage budget, forecasting, capital expenditures, and overall financial performance of the business. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence. Lead talent development, coaching, and performance management to build a high-performing team. Promote a safe and inclusive work environment in line with Health, Safety & Environment standards and regulatory requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration or related field); Master's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in progressive leadership roles with at least five years in a general management position. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Proven track record in improving operational efficiency, quality, and profitability; strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in pilot control systems; familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regulations; expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement; data-driven decision-making; ERP/MRP proficiency desired; strong problem-solving, analytical and financial acumen; ability to manage budgets and P&L; ability to operate in a matrixed environment; excellent communication and leadership skills; customer-focused with emphasis on quality and on-time delivery; resilient and adaptable to ambiguity.
