As the Head of Freight Rail Products and Software, you’ll drive the strategic vision, development, and continuous innovation of Siemens Mobility’s Freight Rail Signaling Products and Software across North America. This is your chance to shape the future of freight rail technology. Responsibilities
Own full P&L responsibility for the business line—drive profitability, growth, and long-term success. Define and implement short- and long-term visionary strategies for freight signaling products and software. Align product and software roadmaps with customer expectations, needs, and strategic priorities. Build strong partnerships across functions to accelerate execution. Drive customer-centric development and uncover new business opportunities. Turn strategy into action with clear, measurable outcomes. Identify trends and unlock growth through deep industry insight. Inspire and lead the Freight Rail organization—management, staff, and beyond. Own budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Guide strategic and tactical decisions across direct and matrixed teams. Spark innovation and maintain a strong customer focus in every initiative. Support strategic accounts and drive business development. Set ambitious goals and achieve them; influence with confidence and gain partner consensus. Stay ahead of market dynamics and competitive trends; represent Siemens Mobility as a technology leader. Communicate with impact in every interaction. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Advanced degree in Manufacturing (M.S. or Ph.D.) is a plus. 15+ years of proven success in rail-related business, including leadership of multi-year, multi-million-dollar contracts. Strong financial acumen and critical thinking. Ability to interpret complex technical and industry data. Willingness to travel as needed. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here. The pay range for this position is $203,800 - $275,800 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary.
