Clinical Applications Specialist - Dosimetrist (REMOTE)

Responsibilities include delivering clinical training and support to customers as a subject matter expert in dosimetry, on-site and/or remotely, to ensure safe and effective use of Varian Medical System equipment and to meet business needs. Responsibilities

Provides clinical applications training to customers on site and remotely to enable operation of Varian Medical System equipment according to safe and effective use guidelines with high customer satisfaction. Assist in managing the customer’s clinical expectations. Provide competitive product performance information to headquarters, marketing or engineering groups as available. Coordinate or lead customer and/or employee training courses. Conduct large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows. Provide demo support to local, regional and national customer trade events. Formulate complementary training materials such as quick tips, workbooks, video media and implementation guides. Work with cross-functional teams to support and enable best services and optimize customer relations. For Oncology Systems: ensure access to client sites as required and meet vendor credentialing requirements. Perform applications specialist responsibilities including creating and maintaining formal customer training support documents; oversee initial and ongoing training for Clinical Applications Specialists and for new product releases. Other duties as assigned by Training Operations and/or Applications Manager. Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

Must be a Certified Dosimetrist. Additional RT License is preferred. Clinical understanding of processes in a medical and/or radiation oncology department. Travel up to 75-100% and intermittent weekends. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Adaptable, positive and open to new ideas and situations. Self-motivated, takes initiative and eager to learn. Complete LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility. Vendor Credentialing requirements for client site access, varies by client. Must meet all applicable requirements to gain full client access and maintain them during employment. Experience with remote training tools and business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SalesForce, ServiceMax, LMS). Strong understanding of documentation, standards, concepts and techniques in the field; capable of leading a team and delivering training for a portion of Varian products. Educational background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; minimum 2-3 years clinical experience or 3 years in position; enrollment in Varian approved Development Program. Must be willing to travel into Canada and meet border requirements; valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license. Must reside in the West region (CA, NV, ID, MT, WA, OR, AK, HI) per posting.
