provides clinical training and support to customers as a subject matter expert in dosimetry, on-site and/or remotely, to ensure customers operate their equipment safely and effectively and to fully utilize the technology to meet their business needs. Responsibilities

Provide clinical applications training to customers on site and remotely to ensure they are prepared to operate Varian Medical System equipment according to safe and effective use guidelines and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Assist in managing the customer’s clinical expectations. Provide competitive product performance information to headquarters, marketing or engineering groups as available. Coordinate or lead customer and/or employee training courses. Conduct large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows. Provide demo support to local, regional and national customer trade events. Develop complementary training information in the form of quick tips, workbooks, video media and implementation guides. Work with cross-functional teams as necessary to support and enable best services and optimize customer relations. On Oncology Systems accounts: position must have full access to VMS client sites and meet Vendor Credentialing requirements to perform essential functions and continue to have client access. Performs all required applications specialist responsibilities including creating and maintaining formal customer training support documents; design and oversee initial and ongoing training for Clinical Applications Specialists, as well as ongoing training for new product releases. Other duties as assigned by Training Operations and/or Applications Manager. Qualifications

Must be a Certified Dosimetrist.

Additional RT License is preferred. Clinical understanding of processes in a medical and/or radiation oncology department. Travel required up to 75-100% and intermittent weekends. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (listening, verbal, written). Adaptable, positive and open to new ideas and situations; highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative; enthusiastic learner. Required Certifications and Training: completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility. Vendor Credentialing: Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements to gain VMS client site access (vary by client) and maintains eligibility during employment. May include identification, background checks, drug screens, immunizations, TB testing, healthcare trainings and related requirements. Experience with remote training tools and business software (e.g., Smart Connect, virtual classrooms; Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, ServiceMax, Qlikview, LMS). Broad understanding of documentation, standards, principles, concepts and techniques in the field; ability to complete a wide range of tasks; capable of leading a team and mentoring others. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; minimum 2-3 years clinical experience or 3 years in position; enrollment in Varian approved Development Program. Willingness to travel into Canada and meet Canadian border requirements; valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license. Residence in the West region (California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii). Job Details
