Position: IT Systems Administrator (I, II, or III) Pay Range: $38.93 - $54.76 Location: Juneau, AK

Responsibilities

Support the technical environment for business and clinical systems, including: virtualization, disaster recovery, Active Directory and Group Policy, Windows Server and IIS, databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL), Cloud and SaaS solutions, Entra AD, and Office 365.

Execute project-related tasks and participate in team meetings; occasionally lead in team activities; contribute to department-wide standards and documentation.

Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell to streamline processes; troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues; monitor and optimize system performance.

Maintain records related to endpoint management; create and maintain documentation and checklists for efficiency and consistency.

Familiar with enterprise-grade monitoring technologies and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops; participate in after-hours support as needed (weekends, holidays, or non-standard hours).

Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvements within the department.

Actively pursue education and cross-training in IT infrastructure areas of expertise.

Develop and implement standards for the technical environment and support business and clinical systems.

Position Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma required; BS in Information Systems or related field preferred; Microsoft MCSA/MCSE preferred.

Experience: 8-10 years’ work experience managing Windows systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong working knowledge of office automation products and peripherals.

Proficiency with Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.

Experience with enterprise antivirus, backup systems, monitoring/reporting systems, and converged infrastructure management.

Hands-on configuration, maintenance, and responsibility for enterprise IT systems, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Familiarity with ITIL, HIPAA, HITECH, and health care IT standards.

Proficiency with recent Microsoft Server Operating Systems and PowerShell.

Travel

Frequent travel to locations in Southeast Alaska.
